SEASON 83 PROGRAMMING COMMITTEE

July 6-7 Season Opener
Named for Spanish artist Joan Miró

December 1, 2024 or February 2 or 16, 2025

North Carolina violinist Andrew Finn McGill with a trio called Fogo no Trio, which features two of the best Brazilian musicians in the country: Brazilian prodigy mandolinist Ian Coury and Brazilian 7-string guitarist Cesar Garabini. We play our own original music inspired by Brazilian choro, samba and Música Popular Brasileira.

Pitch to the NEA for February 2025 Residency

Greensboro pianist Annie Jeng's Khemia Ensemble is dedicated to reflecting broader perspectives in contemporary classical chamber music by presenting engaging performances, commissioning new works, and mentoring the next generation of musicians.

CMR sent notices to 78 statewide arts councils and these are
the pitches we have so far. They include program proposals.
After we select and nail down dates and schedules with the committee's favorites, we will then share program choices with the group and shoot for having those finalized by Spring.
