Their programs pair newly commissioned works with bold transcriptions of classical masterworks, revealing the saxophone’s ability to sing, shimmer, dance, and surprise. From lyrical romanticism to fiery contemporary rhythms, Cerus creates performances that feel both intimate and expansive—inviting audiences to hear a familiar chamber music format in a completely new light.
For this NCMA performance, expect a concert full of motion, color, and imagination: four saxophones working as one expressive voice, bringing fresh energy to the chamber music stage.
Roberto Campa – soprano saxophone
Laura Ramsay – alto saxophone
Kyle Kato – tenor saxophone
Samuel Dishon – baritone saxophone
CMR's Cary, Garner & Fuquay-Varina concerts are supported by a grant from the United Arts Council of Wake County with additional grant support from the NC Arts Council.
